The staff were very responsive both before I arrived and when I was staying here - they answered all my questions and made it easy to arrange a tour and taxis to/from the airport. Shehab was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived and when I left, and Dua was very nice and helpful. I felt safe throughout my stay as well.

Amazing hostel! The beds are very independent and private. The staff is amazing and do everything to make you feel good during your stay. The bathrooms and common areas are cleaned several times a day. The location is right in the heart of cairo for those who like to walk and take public transport everywhere.

It felt like home, that’s how I felt. Very comfortable and I found a family. The staff are very caring and make sure the guests feel comfortable and their needs are met. I will definitely miss you and this hostel. Thank you Loli, Do’a, Hesham, Shehab, Lamia and Hossam. I will come back here if I come to Cairo again. Special mention to the three cats, black, grey and three striped on the terrace outside the apartment, grow healthy and big!

The reception opens 24 hours a day; the property is close to amenities, underground, the Cairo Museum, and more. The breakfast is decent! My big thanks to all the staff who worked very hard to accommodate me. If you are going to stay in Cairo, I recommend the Tahrir Hostel to you!

I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and what truly made the experience exceptional was the amazing staff, especially Shehab. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Shehab was always ready with a smile and eager to assist with anything I needed, whether it was providing helpful local recommendations or ensuring my room was perfect. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out and made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was great—clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location—but Shehab’s outstanding service truly elevated the experience. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future!

A great place beautiful surroundings and they have a very hospitable and cooperative staff and management. Loly through a birthday party for us! She organized also our nile cruise and made sure that everything was fine during the trip !!!

Breakfast was an excellent start to the day. And It was luvly to be welcomed back after being out all day on tours & shopping. Comfortable solid bunks wt curtains & personal power sockets. Across the road to the museum. And handy to all that ya need.

Location is simply unmatched, in the heart of Tahrir Square. Everything is cozy, clean, comfortable and colorful. Our private bedroom was big, full of light, with a single bed, a double one and three couches. On the floor there are three bathrooms and two showers. The very best is the staff: they are all kind and very helpful, giving welcome drinks and helping us with print papers for the airport. Everyone was super but Marwa was really the best, after a couple of minutes it felt like we were friends since years. Best accommodation in Eg

Excellent location, warm reception, very clean hostel,,, I especially want to thank the person who was in charge of the reception that day,, because I was very grateful for his cooperation after I reached the hostel around 2:30 in the night,,, And the complimentary breakfast and milk tea in the morning must be appreciated. As their hostel is on the 1st floor and its specific signboard is not visible,,so I have to cost a bit to find the hostel,,Request to take necessary arrangements in this regard ❣️

I recently had an exceptional stay at Tahris Square Hostel. The staff was amazing, and the facilities were top-notch, making my time there incredibly enjoyable. One of the shift managers, Marwa, stood out for her understanding nature and welcoming demeanor; she even invited me to a birthday party the same night I checked in, which made me feel instantly at home. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing and socializing. Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant, and I highly recommend Tahris Square Hostel for its fantastic staff and outstanding facilities.

All the women were great. OZY went over & beyond WITH A SMILE to make sure all guest was comfortable, having fun, being socialized, keeping the atmosphere clean and welcoming. This was the ONLY place in Cairo with great spirited people, honest, smiling and helpful. I will return without a doubt very soon and many times.

I didn’t expect I was going to be that comfortable in this hostel. They behave you profoundly and it is cleaner than what I expected. You cannot find good options a lot in Cairo but even if there would be more, I would give that score

All the staff (Marwa & Loly & Hisham) are so nice and helpful and they make this hostel a home away from home. I have extended my stay here (for total 9 nights) and all my experience was so perfect. The location is good. The room is with air-conditioning and the bed is good and comfy with curtains and privacy. The shower rooms and toilets are nice. Their breakfast is good (and the lady who prepared breakfast for me is also very nice and friendly. Sorry I didn’t ask about her name). I enjoyed the view of Tahrir Square at the balcony. Also I’ve booked an excursion to black and white desert with them and that’s a very amazing camping experience. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who’s visiting Cairo!

Thank you to all the staff for making me feel welcomed especially Marwa and Muhammad. I have stayed at Tahrir Square previously and I always enjoy my stay. Very conveniently located in downtown and I love the view of Tahrir Square.

This is the best hostel in downtown Cairo. You will feel welcome from the moment you step into the hostel. They also offer complimentary drinks while you wait to check in. Marwa at the reception and Krolus are approachable, friendly and very helpful. You can ask them where to get good and inexpensive souvenirs, and they also offer tours around Egypt. The rooms are nice and very affordable. There is a shared bathroom, but I didn't have any problems with it. The bathroom is well-maintained and clean. I will definitely book here again if I get a chance to go back to Egypt.

1. Super great hospitality of the hostel with exceptional service i.e. allow me to store luggage during my first day in Cairo (which I only stay for 4 hours before transiting to Aswan) which my booking is on 7th day after .
2. 24 hour front desk with friendly staff, allow customers to use bathroom & toliet even after check out
3. Comfy bed and tranquil environment even it's located at Tahrir Square
4. Convenient location just near KFC at Tahrir Square
5. None of the staff asks for tips or anything which is very rare in Egypt .

The owner is a really nice man. He helped me everything. A view of the Nile from the top of the building is magnificent. Meals are delicious and sufficient.

The location is great, walking distance to the Egyptian Museum and the metro. Also，there are many food options nearby. people are friendly and helpful

This hostel is in a fantastic location, the staff is so kind, I felt like I was at home. The guys are constantly cleaning, the bathrooms are always equipped with toilet paper and soap, the rooms are beautiful, spacious and the bed is very comfortable, the terrace is nice to being able to admire the view of the city and sunset! always varied breakfast, a magnificent place to enjoy your holidays
